So these have no real rhyme or reason - there are just places I'm dying to go to in Greece that I still haven't been. The first place is Patmos (Πάτμος) and the main reason is because it's an island I still haven't been to. ISLAND BRAT. Without even being one. I'm just obsessed with living by the shore (Brighton, we'll have an affair soon enough). Πάτμος is pretty dope though because it's the site or the beginning - I forget - of the Book of Revelations and we've already discussed my history-religion boner. I hope to go this summer thanks to a surprise I just learned of so expect an update of me + my beach bod + a cave, basically.
Μακρινίτσα
Makrinitsa (Μακρινίτσα) is up in a part of the country's mountains I've never even accidentally stumbled on, which is why I'm curious. Μακρινίτσα was such a lovely experience for me this winter that I just want to go to as many ranges as I can. Retire on a peak. Only 1000 people live here (MY DREAM!) and they have the coolest folk art house (from what Trip Advisor tells me, sorry Dad) that has over 1500 pieces of art. There's a joke there I'm too tired to make. Take me away.
Οινούσσες
My final dream island to visit is Oinousses (ινούσσες). Even less people live here than in Mακρινίτσα (heaven?). What's even more impressive is everyone's family basically makes their quid off of sailing/maritime activities, which has always had this really odd romantic feel to me. Then, I saw Leviathan and it kind of changed my mind. Either way, take me here immediately. I don't even think there's a cool museum or anything - just churches and beach (which is what we're good at) and honestly, that's all I need from my beloved country.
